The battle to be established as the world’s top international sports destination just became more rigourous as Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC) has chosen former Muay Thai champion “Thanootong’’ Prasert Intanoo to head the martial arts programme at the extensive Phuket, Thailand sports centre. Former Thailand national flyweight champ Khun Prasert was a Muay Thai professional boxer for 15 years with an outstanding record of seventy victories. He graduated from university with a degree in physical education. He later worked for the Marriott hospitality group as a Muay Thai instructor, and in his position as Recreation Supervisor directed wellness, corporate teambuilding and kid’s zone activities. Khun “Nok” (his Thai nickname) is also a certified Pilates instructor and certified by the Thai Yoga Institute as a teacher.
